Climate Change isn’t a hoax that has been spread by a group of eccentric and hallucinating people. It’s a scientific-proven fact. Though it’s not explicit in the perceived senses, it’s creeping day after day like a predator lurks in the shadow. The situation has now or never. Many people argue that this problem can’t be solved by common people because it is so big and complex. However, this approach is bluntly wrong as it sweeps off the burden from Individuals and puts on governments and big corporates.

We’re over 7 billion. And if each of us starts doing something each day for the environment and climate, the impact might be seen soon.

“We simply must do everything we can in our power to slow down global warming before it is too late… The science is clear. The global warming debate is over.” ~ Arnold Schwarzenegger

1. ADOPTING BICYCLES

Nothing beats bicycles. They are environment friendly and have zero polluters. Even Electronic vehicles aren’t 100 % pollution-free as lead and cadmium, which are poisonous chemicals, used for battery making. For daily commuting in a considerable distance, bicycles should resort as much as possible. Do you know that people in Copenhagen, Denmark have more bicycles than cars?

2. SWITCHING TO VEGETARIANISM

Meat consumption produces a lot of greenhouse gas emissions which is the major responsible for climate change. As per studies, just switching to vegetarianism can cut GHGs emissions by 40 to 50 % overall. It is riveting, isn’t it? One needs to just switch his/her diets to save the dying planet.

3. DON’T RUN AFTER FASHION

It takes around 8 swimming pool water to create just one T-shirt. Did you know about it? I believe you wouldn’t. That’s the reason we throw off T-shirts like a piece of cloth unwittingly. Now is better than never. So forget your past misdeeds and start using the same clothes many times until they get torn.

4. CHOOSE SUSTAINABLE

Modern lifestyle is a synonym of wastage, pompous, and consumerism. We buy things we don’t need; eat things we don’t have to; and, waste things we shouldn’t. The lifestyle has become so unsustainable that Earth is losing its delicate balance. The effects have started to be seen in the form of erratic weather patterns. Hence, consume as much as you need really. Don’t fall in prey to marketing which tries to sell a comb to the bald.

5. BE PART OF CIRCULAR ECONOMY

The Circular economy doesn’t throw things in the dump once they are being used fully unlike the linear economy in which we’re living. Everything goes back to the production place to be remodified for further uses. It’s time to join those who are creating Circular economy either through their products or through their actions.
